On 18th May 2023 I had the pleasure of being Event Videographer for Currency / LDN. A Cryptocurrency event run by BVNK. BVNK brought together experts in finance, fintech and blockchain from across the world.
At the debut Currency / LDN event they discussed the pros and cons of using blockchain technology. All from the spectacular venue “Landing Forty Two”. Just 42 floors above Central London with spectacular views of famous landmarks.
The Event Contents
The event began with some light networking amongst guests, organisers and speakers. With a range of refreshments such as drinks and lunch on offer. Allowing me to capture some B-Roll prior to kick off.
Fortunately during the presentations and speeches I was given free reign of the venue. This allowed me to capture various angles of each presentation. Thus making the final highlights video more dynamic.
Between presentations more networking and refreshments would commence. With the evening finishing with champagne, beers and epic golden hour views of our country’s capital.
Event Videography Checklist
As with any other event I’m booked to capture, I rocked up prepared. Armed with my Sony A7iv and super sharp sigma lenses I was ready to go.
Accompanying that was my DJI RS2 Gimbal for super smooth video. And a selection of professional microphones just in case.
Finally, no event videography project would be worth shooting without top spec SD Cards. I personally use Lexar 2000X V90 cards which are super reliable. They allow me to shoot in the highest quality picture profiles and transfer data quickly.
The Finished Highlights Reel
Once the sun had set and I’d returned home, I got stuck into the edit. Using Adobe Premiere Pro for both editing and colour grading.
With access to a huge database of trending stock music I selected the right track to showcase this event.
