On Saturday 2nd May 2026 I had the pleasure of attending Katie and Ben’s special day as their official wedding photographer. It was a last minute booking where a friend of Katie’s treated them both to a professional wedding photography package as her gift to them.
After showing the friend a handful of my photos from previous weddings, it wasn’t long before we hopped on a call and agreed for me to attend. The weather forecast was looking great for that weekend, so I booked an AirBnB in London and made my way to the Big Smoke.

Bride and Groom Prep Photography
Both Katie and Ben we staying in separate parts of London the night before their wedding. Ben in Hackney and Katie in Lambeth. Thanks to TFL and my ability to navigate London with ease, I made my way to Ben’s place to capture some snaps of the rings, suits and other shenanigans as Ben and his best man would prepare for the day ahead.

After an hour or so there, I made my way to Lambeth where I would get to meet the bride for the first time as well as her bridesmaids and maid of honour. After a few proseccos (for them, not me), Katie’s hair was done, dress on, and it was time to make our way to the registry office.

Wedding Photography at Lambeth Registry Office
The ceremony was an intimate event with close friends and family joining Katie and Ben on their day of celebration. The venue being the Olive Morris Suite at Lambeth Registry Office. Prior to the main event I captured lots of shots where members from both families and friend groups were meeting. Some of course for the first time.

At the time of booking I scouted the venue for lighting, space and general inspiration for how I would approach the day. I also requested information on where I could stand and what parts of the room I could access in order to get the best shots. Luckily I was granted blanket permission to be absolutely anywhere in the room at any time I wish providing my whereabouts was not a distraction.
This level of access gave me a much wider range of creativity to play with, resulting in not just quality shots, but also quantity. Over the course of the day hundreds of photos were taken, and hundreds were delivered.

Editing and Delivery of Katie and Bens’s Wedding Photos
Katie and Ben just wanted simple and easy access to all of the edited photos via an online link. On the same evening of the wedding itself I edited a curated selection of photos to hand over that very same day. Within 24 hours another hundred or more photos were delivered. Then the remaining images edited, uploaded and handed over within 5 days of the ceremony.
No waiting around, no emails or Whatsapp messages chasing them up. Katie and Ben made me feel welcomed, wanted and an integral part of their big day. There is absolutely no way that I would keep them hanging for their photos. All files delivered were high resolution, print ready should they wish to do so.
